Welcome
TLC Childcare & Preschool welcomes all children young and old. It all
began with raising two boys and appreciating the need for nurturing and
enjoying each milestone in their lives.
TLC Childcare & Preschool first began in a home based, family childcare
center. As the years progressed, The vision of being involved in children's
lives for years became the main focus. Being a former first grade teacher,
Kim Vincent (owner) had a love for teaching children that was priceless.
Each spring when Kim said her good-byes to the first grade children after
being with them for 180 days, felt like saying good-bye to her own children.
Kim wanted to offer her love of teaching to many children for a longer
period of time. While raising her own two boys, the importance of family,
consistency and a nurturing atmosphere became the vision for TLC
Childcare & Preschool. After 10 years of being in business, the vision
continues to be the number one importance. The children that started with
TLC Childcare have grown up with us. Several of the first graduates of our
Preschool program still attend and now have become volunteers. .
Ledyard Connecticut is the home of TLC Childcare & Preschool. We are
very active in our community in many ways. We participate in yearly
functions including, Ledyard fair, local school basket raffles, sporting
events at the high school plus so much more. We work closely with the
elementary schools to make the change from preschool to Kindergarten a
smooth transition.
